Feeling vain

Dear Diary,

I booked myself an appointment to get eyelash extensions today. Actually, I wanted to get it done today as well but I had to be there by 4.30pm, which was not possible as I got to eat with the BF.

And I saw that Yahoo! poll about whether teachers should be banned from casinos. What?! What has the occupation got to do with gambling? We believe in racial equality, so there shouldnt be job discrimination. Just like how people believe in the "No one is perfect" thingy, so we all do things which are not really morally right, whether we had a choice or not. A teacher is human right? Yeah, so we got to model the right behaviour and blah blah, but as long as it's not obsessive, occassional gambling shouldnt be a problem. Anyway we're most probably too busy marking, setting papers and writing lesson plans to get to a casino. Even if we do, I'm sure most of us will have the intellect to believe that spending our hard-earned money (really very hard-earned, what with all the emotions thrown in) on gambling is really silly. Yes, my point is: I'm a good role model in this aspect because I hate saying goodbye to my dollars to probability.
